Premier/Wisthoff Solutions Placentia Ca

Owes me since May called yesterday with a muffled voice after much can you repeat he says he is looking in his computer then abruptly hangs up. This guy is still in business. Closers beware.
We all need to take a stand, all closing agents need to write to their congressman/senators explaining this scam with signing companies. They must be accountable just like the mortgage companies, title companies and us.
Anyone interested in this email me. Ilene- Maryland

Congressmen/Senators?

Ilene, I appreciate your feeling that you've been done wrong, but to contact your federal represenatives is not going to fly. I would think they will listen to you at their district office and then promptly forget it. This ain't a federal beef, for the most part. Have you contacted the TC you sent the docs back to? If you have and have gotten nowhere, call the legal department of the TC and explain that you feel that the front office is in cahoots with this wayward signing service. Most legal types when they hear your thought will start to work with you to get this paid. Your other course is to just bug the crap out of the TC, till they pay you off to quit calling.

Re: Congressmen/Senators?

Thanks that's a good idea. However when a "company" scams people then reopens their doors with another name only to do the same thing, something has to be done. It's worth a shot.

does anyone file report w/ D&B?

for $24, you can have D&B send a collection letter AND this will include a "collections" filing on the company's credit report, which - if NSA's began routinely doing this, could build a little greater motivation towards getting those payments made.

I've never done this and as YET haven't had to - and in the cases where the company has folded (like EFS), I suppose it's 'a day late and a dollar short'. But for companies like SOX it seems like it might be just the ticket?

Anyone know more about using this procedure?

Excellent idea, Renee.
I appreciate your sharing that idea, and plan to use it.
For the first time since I stopped working with SS, I have a huge A/R.

Re: Congressmen/Senators?

Ilene, It all depends on how badly you want to get this money whether you continue to bug the TC. You might get your check for this signing, but you'd probably also get a "do not call" check after your name. I would probably contact them inquiring if they had paid the SS and if they have (probably), then I'd make a pitch to work directly with them! You'd still be out this fee, but the increased fees from the title company would probably make that up in a couple of signings. When you get lemons, make lemonade! Certainly use this to your advantage to solicit work directly.

Yes, its federal

If they knew they could not pay when they contracted with us ... it is FRAUD! Since it was across state lines it is interstate fraud ... a federal crime ...

But, congress? No. Federal agencies like HUD ... DOJ ... FTC ... etc ... are the ones to write ...

I thought they were out of business. Judging by the messages I see on this company he has stiffed a fair amount of CSA's. Tomorrow I am going to call the title company I did the signing with and hope they tell me they are at least doing business with someone else.
