Real Estate Title Abstractor
Anyone know about this course you can take online. I saw where www.certsigningagents.com was offering it.

Use the orange search button, this has been brought
up many times before. You can start with message 195862 and its replies.

Run away from those classes...abstractors are
a dime a dozen and the insurances aren't worth the fees we are getting now. You must have 3 years experience in order to get e&o insurance (if you tell the truth on your application).
Go work for a title company and learn the right way, at minimum wage (or a few cents more), like most abstractors do, this is the right way.

Re: Run away from those classes...abstractors are
Like Loretta said, you really need to work for a title company or be an assistant to a current independant examiner. I have done abstracting for 15 years and there is absolutely no way an online class can teach you what you need to know. Each county is different, and there is no one who can teach you the ins and outs of every county sustem without having gone there themselves.
