Slow...but?

I've only done three this week....BUT I had to turn down four! ( two today) Two from a company I've worked with for years, one of my best customers. We (NSA's) really need the latitude to schedule with the borrower ourselves. There are only so many six PM signings one can do in one day!
At least it gives me the opportunity to refer other good notaries in my area. As they do me.

I had 1, count em 1, signing this whole week. But I am grateful for that signing. I also had the time to make great strides in my other venture. I'm just hoping it will all even out in the end.

I usually offer what times I do have, and sometimes they are takers. I say,
"I don't have a 6:00, but I could do a 4:30 or a 7:30 (sometimes, depending on the package, 5:00 or 7:00)" Sometimes, they will call the borrowers and see if they are available. Sometimes, they don't have that ability, other times they do.

It's worth a try. jmho.

I think what bothers me the most is how frequently I find when calling to confirm appts with the BO that THEY were never consulted on the appt time. Here in TX (in the woods anyway), we never had the number of signings some of you have. This week, though, I got calls for 5. Only 1 "made", the others couldn't get docs. I think the 4 that didn't work out due to no docs were actually issues of the BO's didn't like the terms...just from conversations with the BO's.

I'm glad to hear things are slow other places. I am in a very small rural area in TN. I agree about consulting the borrowers. The advantage of being in a small town is that I frequently know the borrowers personally and can arrange a time that is convenient with them on my ownThat's always my luck. I may not get any other calls all week, but they all want the same day and time!
