Website Review

I have been designing my own website (first real website) and would like for all you wonderful people to look at it and give me your opinion.

www.bondmobilenotary.com

Please I would like good and BAD feedback. If any links or wording needs changed.

Thank you.

I like the basic layout, but I think it lacks some pizzaz. You're content is ok (I did not review for grammatics), it just needs to be fancied (is that a word?) up a bit.

Add some picture and/or play with the fonts to give it a more pleasing appearance to the eyes. You want to portray your business as a business, not like a myspace page.

I would also fix the Notary Rotary logo so that it isn't in a frame smaller than the picture.

Good Job, keep working at it!

Hi Kathy, I like it. Simple with all the relevent information needed. I didnt proof for spelling errors or anything like that. The only suggestion I would make is to increase the font size a little and maybe highlight some key words to stand out to your audience.
Once you get your basic website going, you will think of other ideas and things to add to it.

Only grammatical error I saw was on the contact us page.
Should be "To schedule an appointment" not "To schedule and appointment"

First, all of these comments, and those which will follow, are meant as _constructive_ criticism. They should not be taken as a personal attack!

SiteBuilder is one way to go when designing a Site. Once the Page(s) is / are designed, a lot of the ... umm ... stuff that SiteBuilder puts in the HTML code needs to be removed (as it says in the comments).

The Home Page violates so many standards that it is difficult to know where to begin.

Forcing the colors of links to be the designer's idea of what they should be is A Very Bad Idea. Yes, it is allowed. No, it should never be done. People expect unvisited links and visited links to be visibly different, and in certain colors.

Forcing specific sizes of objects is A Bad Idea, especially if the design does not need it.

The Home Page is far from accessible by visually-impaired people.

That's all time permits now.

I am looking at this as constructive criticism. I am not taking anyone's opinion as a personal attack.

I used sitebuilder as I have never designed a webpage before. I expect and want all opinions whether they are good or bad.

Overall I think you did a fine job. Personally I would work on the fonts a bit. The gray against gray is a little difficult to read, reminds of 2 old geezers arguing over the price of geritol. jk!
Good job though!

Overall its plain and simple

and that's not bad. Did you mean to say both "legal advise and advice"? at bottom of home page as follows: "I am not an Attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho, and may not
give legal advise or accept fees for legal advice".

Re: Overall its plain and simple

Thank you everyone for the review. I have made changes to the site to hopefully make it look more business like and the font is bigger so it is more readable.

Thanks for your help.
