What would you think?
I have an office that has a cluster box where I recieve my mail. Since the end of January I have had 8 different checks, mailed to me by companies I work for, get lost! The mail box is locked and I have the only key. Do any of you think this is strange or is it just me? The response from the post office is "We do not lose mail"!
I am just taking a poll!

Re: Thanks, but no they were actually lost

I have had a check stolen in route. The company sent me a copy of the check and it was forged.

Re: Thanks, but no they were actually lost
I would say either the companies are claiming they sent the check when they didn't, and then sending a "replacement" check when called on it, or perhaps you have a not-so-careful mailman who is delivering some of your mail to someone else in your complex who doesn't bother to return it?

Thanks for all the replys. I have had this box for 4 years and it has just started happening this year. Also all the companies that have missing checks are ones I work for continuously and their checks come like clockwork. Just as I thought it is sooo strange! Thanks again!

I have a box at the post office and some of my checks take weeks to get to me. When they finally get to my box they have a stamp on the outside of the envelope that says, "Not Dept. of Finance Mail. So, my checks seem to go to someone else's box first, knock around their office for a while, then they eventually get to my box. I've brougth it up with the post master, to no avail. So I just expect my checks to take a week or two longer to get to me. Good luck with yours.

Re: use of PM...
Folks, when you send a PM, the recipient gets a notification in their email box. The whole idea is for it to be PRIVATE. Personally, I'd rather not see the board get filled up here with people letting someone know they sent a message that they don't want anyone else to see. If you're going to send a PM, by all means do so, but please refrain from posting here everytime you do. This is just a pet peeve of mine, but I doubt I am alone in this...
