sERVICE sTINK! service link
wanted to pay me $65, I said no $75.00, and there no e docs for that price. She said no problem if there are we pay 20 extra. I said 25 for any e docs, no problem, she said. $hit if I don't get hud, and junk docs e mailed to me. They never mentioned the gazillion fax backs and sit there till we call you routine. Mind you, I am just as hard up for work as anybody else but they are charging $425.00 for me to go there. She said we will get someone else to do it if you don't like our prices, ok then, I said, that's on you! PU

They offered me $115 for a double w/edocs!
I told them I wouldn't do a single for that and if they wanted fax backs there would be an additional charge.
They called the next person on their list.

You should probably ask to get removed from their list if that's too little for your needs.
Unless you want to negotiate every time that they call.
Myself, as they call about a half a dozen times a month or more and keep appointments close to my office in distance, they can call as much as they want for those prices (which are the same no matter where they are calling)!
Of course, I DO have a FAX machine that will auto-load 100 pages at a time, so that's really no issue here either ....... I just set them up and continue working on other things while they run.
No personal comment here about your office, I know everybody has preferences, if those are yours then by all means stick to your guns.
Out here, though, competition being what it is, I'll take the volume from them as I quickly made it possible for me to do those assignments easily as soon as I found out what they entailed of.
Of course, we're in totally different markets, so like I said before, nothing personal! :o]

Consider the source
This is the number one cheerleader for SOX. He's a complete joke and obviously is happy running his business like he just entered the field 2 weeks ago.
He's happy being Shasta cola while the rest of us are Coca Cola.

Consider the source ...... yes, EXCELLENT ADVICE!
"consider the source" is actually pretty good advice for more than just MY posts.
Cali, you STILL seem to be stalking my posts every chance you get just so you can bring up issues that happened more than two years ago.
I would have thought even your memory would take into consideration things that have been posted since then ...... as I many times since have posted here my warnings of SOX and SignaturesPlus (both run by Melodie Spector) as well as a direct phone number to Adam Razani, manager of SOX "Quality Control", who made sure that I got paid for my SOX appointments done before ever finding this little "online forum" so that anyone else who happened to get caught in SOX's scam might also get paid.
BUT, I guess that was just to much for you to acknowledge, so, once again, somebody posting an honest answer to a legitimate question on NotRot gathered flames from one of the anointed few who seem to simply have to bash anyone whose opinion differs. I'll bet you're not really that way in person, Cali, but behind a keyboard feel somehow immune to the need to have good manners.
Sorry to say that, Harry, but those are the plain truth words that come to mind as you obviously well know.
I guess that might be why I get as many private messages and emails that I do from new notary folks too afraid to post anything here for fear of the bashing but desperately want to ask somebody experienced for some help on issues that YOU, Cali might know a good answer for, but would rather bash somebody & make yourself feel better about yourself instead.
Yes, I take ServiceLink's calls, AND the Navy Credit Union calls, and while I don't claim to be any smarter than anyone else I still manage to make a good profit taking their appointments because I can manage to make the needed adjustments to my processes.
Frankly, with SA competition in this business being what it is in San Diego my $200 calls WELL make up for helping the biggest title company in the US find adequate help for their signings, and provide a service for military folks at a smaller fee. Their volume of calls and few problems with their assignments somewhat make up for the low prices they are forced to pay as that is what their clients (like CountryWide, who is now well known for having problems) are now forced to pay.
Clearly, though, I have better things to do with my time than to post here and butt heads with folks who are only here only for their own personal kicks, so I'll be going back to sending only personal messages again to help others until Harry can complete weeding out the rabble rousers and the forum returns to being a place where notary signing agents can all come to learn and help, rather than flame folks at will just because they can.

The offer of $115 for a double loan w/edocs was ridiculous. To top it off, it was a 25 mile drive across town at rush hour.
My past experience with them has shown that their packages are very large and include an excruciating amount of broker disclosures.
They have always waived the fax back requirements since I insist on being paid for the time and effort involved in completing this task. I guarantee my work and have never had any feedback from them regarding any incomplete or incorrect notarizations on those rare occasions where they have met my fee.
Bottom line is this wasn't worth my time for the fee offered.
