I am trying to sign up with some signing companies and some of them wants a copy of my driver license please need your help

What i have been doing is making a copy of my dl then using a permanent marker to remove the dl #. I have not had anyone complain about it yet.

I have never ever sent a copy of my drivers license to any company! I just told them my attorney advises against it because of identity theft etc.
