My phone rings after the kids get home from school. But that doesn't count.

Real slow in AZ
But, don't have to fill up my tank as often, have more time to oversee our home remodel & get to spend more time with my family.

Re: CT
Kevin, that's good to hear, although I've found the shoreline fares better than central CT during slower times...

Re: CT
Yeah...I know...it is kind of a weird area between permanent residents and people that own vacation homes. How are things going up in your area? Hopefully the interest rate cut, and the Fed's program of insuring credit worthy applications for mortgages will help.

Re: CT
I'm hoping so. It's been very slow lately, very small spurts. Mostly CW deals up here. I'm hoping the holidays & college tuition bills will help spur at least some HELOCs around here. Although I know a great many people got their LOCs when they didn't need them, "just in case" or just to have them available if/when needed.

So slow here is what I've done this month
Finished the babies room, refied my home (less then 2 weeks) cleaned the house, did some outside work, sent out a ton of resumes and have a few interviews scheduled.
What I have not done..
Pay all my bills...
I have never ever had a month like this since I have started this business.... If it was like this when I started I would of never of done this.

Re: So slow here is what I've done this month
On the 15th of August I had completed 12 signings. As of the 15th of September only 4 completed and just got a call from Land America wanting me to do a Countrywide Full Spectrum for $95.00. I have turned down at least 5 in the past few days due to low/low fees. I think this is what we are going to see from now own as the SS and TC will use this situation to continue to try to beat us down. I wish they could put some of the low life lenders in jail for their predatory lending practices. However, I am willing to let the market make the correction needed. If Uncle Same gets involved it will only prolong the inevitable.

Re: So slow here is what I've done this month
LandAm CW FS loans aren't as bad as other companies have for whatever reason. I reluctantly did one & grumbled about the price as it was not disclosed upfront. However, these have no split package, although you can expect to fax back 25-35 pages. there are literally only about 10 pages (maybe) more than you'd find in a typical CW package.
Just wanted to put this out there to not automatically decline just because it's CS/FS based on past experiences of split packages, etc. For those who normally scan & send back the entire package anyway, the fax back requirement is already taken care of.
They will *at times* meet your fee.

Looking good here...
3 helocs, 1 refi, 3 non mortgage related and 2 calls that I couldn't take because I was busy. Not bad for the week so far. I almost gave up last week with only 3 calls!!!
