Classic Signing Services of CA...Still in business???

I completed a signing for this company in Feb. and have not yet received payment. I have sent them a collection letter and an email. I have tried to call but the line is either busy or I get voice mail. This is not looking good. I did receive an email back on 4/17 as follows:

I am so sorry for the delay in responding to your message.
We have been in and out of the office a lot doing some much needed marketing.

We have hit a slow period the past few months and are trying to stay afloat. And we too are waiting on some title companies to get payment from. Since they are late in paying it unfortunately affects the way we pay.
But no worries - we always pay our notaries and we will get your fee to you asap.
I will email you back with status as soon as I can.

Thanks for your patience and I will be in touch as soon as they give me status.
I know Jan and most of Feb should all be finally going out in the next week or so. Just bare with us while we tough out this market slow down and get back on track.
Many of our title companies have even shut their doors without paying us and we relied on that to pay our people. So it hurt us pretty bad.

I, again, thank you and am sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Since I am now in scheduling I sent all my previous accounting emails to another gentleman, but I will take care of this for you asap.

I'm worried that they closed and I will now never see my money. Does anyone have any current info on this company. Yes, I did first use the orange search button.

I too have the same non-payment issue. Received an email from Pamela Stancoff @ Classic Signing on 05/01/08 and here is what she says:

"...I can tell you honestly that we are a bit behind because recently our company suffered huge losses. About 5 of our lenders and title companies have recently closed their doors and did not pay us many of the final invoices they owed us. As a small company it set us way behind, because we rely on those funds to pay our notaries.
Now instead of letting that reflect on our notaries we are asking they everyone be a little more patient with us while we regroup, restructure, and get back on our feet so to speak so that we can pay out all the invoices from Jan - March.
Those months were what we were owed and we're talking thousands of dollars, so bare with me a little longer and I am hoping by mid may to have this payment to you if you are okay with this.
I will try to include the late fee after speaking to our accounting dept but because we're so behind I am not sure I can include that.

I just wanted to keep you posted and not let you think we forgot about your payment for the services you provided.

In speaking with other they seem to be understanding. I have things pending from Jan and again we did not expect this huge blow to our little company, but we are resilient and are slowly bouncing back Smile

Thank you for your patience while we get all this resolved. Once it is, delayed payments will not be an issue in the future.

Their website http://www.classicsigningservices.com is not active, their phone #s are out-of-service. I'm not too sure whether we'll be hearing from them again.
