Dietech/Precision Post Closing
Has any one else had problems with this company. I did a job for them back on December 22,2007 and I have not been paid yet. I have made several phone calls (line is always busy) and my emails kick back. So my safe assumption is that they are no longer in business. This is all the information I have on them. I have even called the 24 hour cell phone they had listed but of course they are out of service or the mialbox is not set up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Precision Closings Services 500 South Kraemer Boulevard, Suite 200 Brea, CA 92821 Office/Status: 877-934-7800 Fax Docs To: 877-277-1206 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm really upset because I did the work and need to be paid .

Precision went bankrupt. They sent a letter out in Dec. stating "with heavy hearts" they were forced to close their doors. They sent me a whole $30 for a closing I had done for them.

I got nothing, they contacted me in Dec. to do a job, seems like they already knew they were not going to pay me. I'm glad you got a little something and I wish I had known before I did work for them. Funny and dishonest of them to send a "heavy heart" letter in Dec. and still get me and others to do work for them in Dec.
Thanks for letting me know. I will try not to be bitter against the industry about this. They are the first job i've not goten paid for. Others were slow with the payment but I at least got paid.

The closing I did for them was in Dec., too. I felt the same way you do, they already knew they were going under when they hired us.
I was wondering at the time why it was the first time they had ever agreed to my fee! (They always offered $40!)

They were to pay me $75.00 and I sill had to pay for the printing of the documents out of my pocket first. I didn't think much of the fee amount since I am still new to this and have been told that higher paying jobs won't come until I have at least 100 signings under my belt. I still don't have 20 signings yet. So I expected the lower pay.
Other than doing signins do you know of other ways to use my notary skills?

<<<I am still new to this and have been told that higher paying jobs won't come until I have at least 100 signings under my belt.>>>
I don't know who told you that you have to accept less money because you are new but that is a myth. You are an independent contractor and you set the fees you charge.
<<<I still don't have 20 signings yet. So I expected the lower pay.>>>
Don't accept low fees just to gain experience. Decide what your expenses are (toner, paper, time, gasoline, mileage, etc.) and what will make you a profit and charge according to that. Use the orange search button and look up message 183435...this will give you an idea. At $75 you're not making much more per hour.

I do regular notary work...I visit hospitals and assisted living centers and leave business cards. I am a member of my city's chamber of commerce and network thru that....I received quite a bit of referrals and actual business from this networking.

Just wondering but how would any calling Agency know whether you'd done less or More than 100 signings?? I dont usually get that question.. Confidence goes a long way in this world - getting paid what you know you're worth..

Some companies use software that tracks the number of signings that you have done for them, and others that use the software.
