Ahhh! The "Good Ole Days!"
And now they're on YouTube! I remember during childhood, and as a teen, being forced to watch (and pretend to like) The Lawrence Welk show all through tax season with my Mom's clients waiting to get their taxes done. We even took accordian lessons for years... and I was the youngest of the 4 who got lessons so by the time it was MY turn, Mrs. Fergasich was pretty ticked and fed-up... so I got her wrath at 8 years old with a 50 lb. accordian on my lap. (Well it felt like 50 pounds). Okay, I'm rambling, must work!!!!!!!

I remember being forced to watch the Lawrence Welk show also. My dad had a 12 piece orchestra and was out playing music every Th, Fri and Sat nights. Mom would give us 3 girls a bath on Sat night and we would sit in front of the tv, watch LW show while she curled our hair in those little pink foam curlers. I remember saying I wanted to grow up and sing like the Lennon sisters. Never happened, can't carry a tune in a bucket. lol

Oh my gosh - that's too funny!
Are you related to me? During the other part of the year, she sat with us watching LW... and put those pink curlers in our hair also. Although my younger curley-haired sister was saved from that... as was my brother. Did she use a long comb dipped in a glass of water? I kinda miss those days (especially since we lost her 2 years ago).

Re: Oh my gosh - that's too funny!
I would have settled for pink curlers! I was "forced" to sit while my hair was put in "rags" so I would have ringlets! And yes, there was a long comb and a glass of water involved!

There was another product needing
a long comb. Kind of a liquid DippityDoo. Bottle not round, kind of flat like some honey jars. Can't remember what called.
Except for me, everyone must be same age. I remember this from when I was 2 (hehehe) Not.

By the time dippity-do came along, I wore my hair straight!
But I remember those pink rollers, comb in water, 1 inch bangs (YUCK) and L.W. Wow, are we all related??? lol. Life was much simpler back then. But I wouldn't go back if you paid me...
