I must have a lousy business plan
Just got an e-mail from a signing agent organization ( no not xyz) telling me I can make a $100,000 or more a year as a notary. I must rethink my business plan.

Frankly, I'd like to hear from some NSA making that much!
I imagine that there might be a few around the country making that much, but in this market, doing only mobile notarizations, I'd lke to hear that statement confirmed first hand. I can't believe it's more than a handful if any.

Re: Frankly, I'd like to hear from some NSA making that much!
I would think that there several, if not individuals, but signing companies in Georga making that amount (BUT they are lawyers too) I would guess 3 to 500K a year just in signings.

Those ads just crack me up. I've been in the business a couple of years, but didn't get in because of the "get rich at this" concept. Many truly professional notaries are angry that those ads had flooded the notary profession with people who jumped in expecting to make that much. I do imagine that some were making that a couple of years ago, at market peak, in California. I'm still very happy with the amount of money I can make at this--gas prices & all!

False advertising!
Well, I received the same email and responded with this information. ********
Well, I was a processor and underwriter for over 15 years.
I would be curious how you train people online. It took me YEARS to become proficient in loan processing. The amount of knowledge needed to be good in that field is huge.
I think $100K is definately pushing it though...no experience...just some training. Would be very surprised if someone would hire someone without experience in this market for that kind of money.
I also don't know what it has to do with being a notary. Saying that a "notary" can earn $100K is deceiving. An experienced loan processor can perhaps that much....but even then it is pushing it. I earned good money as a loan processor and underwriter but that was after many years experience under my belt.....and in a totally different market than now.
A notary would have to give up their profession as a "notary" and would actually be a "loan processor or broker" and have a notary commission. I did notaries when I was a processor, but that was not my occupation. I sounds like you are saying a person can make $100K a year as a notary....but in acutality, a person has a different occupation all together.
Just very deceiving....
I just needed to say this because I am curious where you are getting your information and how your courses can make a person a loan processor just like that. I just hope that you aren't giving people false information.
******
Just wanted to let you know.....yes....too good to be true......
