MD fidelity bond - need update

Just got surety bond renewal info.
Hartford is the one whom I use.
Seem the fidelity bond issue isn't dead.
I quote fromm the cover letter from my agent "the Hartford now requires title agents to carry fidelity coverage equal to the amount of the bond, in this case $100,000"yone

Can anyone direct me to something official that says ICs don't need this bond.

Thanks,

Art

MIA website, home page, 8th item, has a link concerning fidelity bonds. It states that the independent title producer who has no employees is not required to have a fidelity bond. Title companies who hire independent contractor title producers are supposed to have a fidelity bond covering the sub contractor.
