Yesterday this company called me to do a loan signing today at 4pm right here in my hometown. I spoke to Ashley and she offered me $100 and I accepted. I also asked her if they pay the normal 50% of the agreed signing fee if the borrowers refuse to sign or if the loan fails to close for any reason. She said yes and I asked her to put that in my confirmation email, which she agreed to do. So today comes and it is now 2:30 and there is no more communication from Ashley and no docs so I call her. She says she doesn't know where they are at and will call someone and then call me right back. I call the borrower who I happen to know and explain to them that I will not be there by 4 unless a miracle happens and will call her when they send me the docs. 6pm arrives and still nothing. So I send a email to Ashley along with all the others on the team (I did a reply to all) and then get a email back from a Michelle Wagner. This is what she had to say:
We have already found a new notary. I apologize Ashley did not cancel with you. Thanks

So I get on the phone to the borrowers and they have no idea what is going on either. I have never been treated so rudely by any company since I started this job. Once I got the email back from this Michelle I called her to find out what was going on and of course she had left for the evening. I told the man on the phone that I would be posting about this and his reply was "Are you threatening us?" Nope I am just letting you know that they asked me to do this signing, left me hanging all day, and then send a email say sorry your screwed. Just venting a bit and letting everyone know how this company takes care of us notaries. Joy
