Nice new program
I've just read about and tried a new program called JOTT. It allows you to use your cell phone or PDA to send or answer email by transcribing your voice to text. It will also allow you to create a calendar entry in Google Calendar which can be automatically synced to outlook. You can also send yourself a reminder. I've only just started playing with it but so far it seems to work very well. Oh, and it's free... I found out about it from an article in Washingtonpost.com. If you have a Blackberry it also has an application that adds reply with JOTT to your email menu.
Here is a link to the article. http://letters.washingtonpost.com/W0RH01F3EB8D8AD6969792A8518090
If the link won't work let me know and I'll copy the article.

Transcribing voice to text (or vice versa) is nothing new. Sprint already has text to landline. If you send a text to someone and the number is a landline instead of a cell, it will transcribe the text message to voice and leave a message on their recorder or if they answer. Then it will alert you by text that it was a landline number - free.

All true but if you take the time to look at what this will do I think you may find it worthwhile. Just being able to answer a short email or put an appointment in my calendar with just a quick call is great. IMHO

I really like this........ thanks for posting this service!! I am not at all good at punching in text messages on a cel phone and the email feature is a something I will use alot for reminders. I spend alot of hours stuck in traffic.... time to think, remember and "forget".

You are very welcome. I also really like being able to "voice" a signing appointment in my Google calendar and then it syncs to outlook.
