Rejecting signings with OS invoices

Had to reject a job today due to the fact that a certain company, Speedy Closings, still hasn't paid me since Februrary, despite multiple emails and phone calls.

Do they think I will just forget?

Pleasure of refusing a job

I had the pleasure today of refusing a closing for tomorrow evening from a company that has a terrible payment history. I just let those agents that are not diligent about company reputations have the jobs.

Speedy Closings called me yesterday. When I saw their name on caller ID I just let it roll to VM.

I wouldn't do this. But these SS deserve from us to take the job and never show up! Of course I will never do it, but it is the same situation to do the job on time, return package and then 2 or 3 months later never get a check for your hard work.

I think they should be told repeatedly why you refuse. n/m

I am refusing so-o-o-o many, accepting none. Oh, well....

I just tell them "You are getting bad press" and let it go at that.

I agree. You should always let them know why you're refusing the job and tell them that they have a bad reputation on the notary boards. I had one person from a bad company threaten to black list me. I told them, "That's fine with me. Thank you for calling and have a great day." *CLICK*

What are they going to do, get super mad and PAY me?

"I had one person from a bad company threaten to black list me"

Was this the guy from Speedy, I think his name is Frank? I've gotten that, as have many others. I told him that his threatening me with that just confirmed all the stuff I read on the board about what a scumbag he is so I knew I was making the right decision by saying no.

He also tried to butter me up by telling me that we're of the same persuasion (ie, gay). I guess I was supposed to get all girl power because of it and offer to do it for free or something. Didn't work.
