Signings per day
Can someone tell me the average signings per day or possibly what to expect?

Right now I wish I had at least one signing per day. My phone is not ringing. If you are new to this, don't expect a whole lot. Business has been very slow for a while. Some notaries say that they still do several jobs per day, but that is not the case in my area.

Completely related to the population and/or competition in your area. There is no right answer---only variables.

Depends how strong a marketer you are. Treat your buz as though you were in sales. Set goals for yourself and if you don't meet those goals pound the pavement to pick up more work and don't forget PR, i.e. boxes of candy and other treats. I know it's an investment but you have to spend $$ to make $$.

Yes, I am. I just had someone to call me and wanted to pay me $30 for a one page modification. What do you guys think of that?

I havent done any modifications, but this sounds a little unreal. 1 page?? I guess nothing should surprize me anymore in this biz.

This is what I was told. (c: Gas is sooooooooooo expensive to move the car at this point for $25 to $30. What's your opinion?

Re: Is there such an animal??
If it was super-close to me (like less than 3 miles away) then I would probably take it if I had nothing else going on. One page is one page. My UPS/FedEx drop is super close, too, so like I said I would take it IF it was really close-by and I had no other jobs going on.

Re: Is there such an animal??
If I could walk to it I might take it. My basic travel fee for general notary work is more than that, not counting my per signature fee as allowed by my state.
(Actually, if it *was* within 3 miles, I would probably do it, too, chalking it up to customer service -- but only if it was convenient. I will occasionally not even charge a travel fee if someone from the general public calls and will come to me -- at the coffee house around the corner. But I'd never accept that fee from a third party.)
