Twilight Zone signing

I had a signing last night that was odd. I was expecting Rod Serling to step out of the shadows while I froze and narrate the story. I got to the borrowers street and was looking for the address and this old man waves me down and pointing to the house I was going to. I felt like an airplane being waved in for landing. He spoke no English so I just said the last name and he confirmed that was the house since only two #'s were on it. I pull into the driveway and he's standing right at my door. I smiled at him in sort of a thank you way (more like move it so I can open my door). I get into the house and borrowers mom is sitting in a chair litterally right in the entrance and I had to manuvere around here and her walker. She was on the docs so she had to sign as well. He wanted to do the signing on the couches but I will never do that so we went to the table. Backing up a tad, he called me before I got there and said don't say anything about this loan in front of my son, he is here. I say np. Well, how do I say nothing when all the man has is questions?!!! GAH!!!!!!!!! The son was 18 and hovered the entire time. It got to a point where I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SAY SOMETHING!!!! I turned to the son and said, I think your dad needs some privacy. I mean for God's sake. He's 18, get out already. Not like we were making a drug transaction. It's a darn loan. The momma has here head in her hand and making a circular motion on the floor with her foot this whole time. The floors weren't that clean so all I could hear the whole time was shhhhh shhhh shhhh coming from the gritting floor where she continued circular motions. I don't know about everyone else but during a signing, I don't like borrower to talk about anything but what is at hand. What a victim this borrower was. EVERYONE, and I do mean everyone has done him wrong. I smile, hand him the next doc, "sign here", wash rinse repeat. He's telling me his 18 year old son is mentally ill and they give him injections (OMG I just told this kid to get lost, i'm so dead). He has violent tendancies (would explain the holes in the wall) and he's (wrong spelling) skit-so-frenic. No problem, plenty of meds for that and they live a normal life. blah blah blah. I get done with signing, walk out and he comes out too. Want's to tell me his whole life story as I keep slowing walking, walking, pause, oops, stopped now. Ok, i'll give him a few minutes. Can't hurt. YIKES!!! I get stories of how many times he's been arrested for "alledgly" raping this woman or that woman. I don't know about this but I dont' know that I even know a man that been accused even once much less 5 or 6 times. Gone through trial and had it thrown out for insufficent evidence. I tell you. It was an eye opener needless to say. I got in my car and I just knew I could hear do do do do do do do do. Twilight zone music. I'm sure some have far more interesting / strange stores. Just thought i'd share.

You were lucky to get out safely, I don't know if I would have stayed the kid sounds dangerous. I've had two scarey closings in 8 yrs. and that was enough. But no one telling me he has gotten away with raping people.

I wasn't at all scraed to be honest. I think alot of it was embellishing on his part and my other thought was mental illness is heredity alot of times so i figured the fruit didn't fall far from the tree. I've had alot of experience with this in previously and I find that they don't have many friends due to this ailment and they really only need a compassionate ear. I usually have a pretty good feel for danger. I don't know why but bells & whistles go off loudly for me when I feel in danger.
