Unreal

I know it's been slow but please don't think i'm desperate for work either. I get a call for a closing tonight. SS asks if i'd be willing to take $70.00 since i've closed for this customer before. You're kidding right? I tell her no thanks and she said, "well, we're not making any money on this re-fi". And I asked what does that have to do with me? And baloney they aren't making any money. I told her gas isn't getting any cheaper down here or anywhere. I told her actually i worked cheapest for them. Said she has to get approval and call me back. Still nothing. I'd rather sit and make tee shirts. Just venting.

LOL! I hear ya! What's up w/the "we're not making any $"

line of BS anyway?! Somebody's making $$$$ and I sure wish it were me! I just got my first signing in weeks and they don't pay anything if bo cancels even if docs are printed and I make the trip (120 minutes total)! The pay they offered is better than I've seen from anyone in a coon's age so I guess I'll take a gamble -- but sheeesh!!! What's a person to do? Hope things get better soon for everyone.

Oh, and perhaps we should try that with the people we owe $

to . . .

"I'm sorry Mr. Doctor, Ms. Plumber, Mr. Electric Company . . . I just can't pay you anything because I'm not making any money either. But, don't worry, I'll be sure to pay you when I get paid."

After all it's perfectly logical! How can one pay another when the one isn't getting paid? Everybody should understand that. Right? I think I'll make that my new mantra! Wink

Yes like -"I will gladly pay you for that hamburger on Tuesday" Sorry but it does not work that way! Good for you that you said NO.

got the same call from a title company - max pay $90 bucks!

C'MON...told her my fee was $150 and she said, 'we're not even getting that!" then she goes, we can go as high as $90...I told her sorry, can't do it.

The nerve of some TC's...BS excuses I expect from shady SS but NOT from a TC!

Try that with a doctor & they'll tell you to charge it -- they accept credit cards!
