I know that Signatures Plus (although they were located in California) had X Marks The Spot on their checks. It was a different company than SOX but not any better. It is strange that they would have the same name but so far, this company appears to be legit. Time will tell but I would change my business name if I were them...

I do not believe this is SOX from California. It is criminal what the SOX in CA has done to so many notaries across the country. I have been trying to get paid by them since last November with no success. I have finally exhausted my efforts with trying to speak to someone other then there rude receptionist. I am now going to try and get the government to do something. I am going to file a complaint with the FBI's internet fraud division. If each notary that has ever had any dealing with SOX's would just take 10 minutes and file a complaint we might get some one to notice our problems with this company. Each of us has entered into a verbal contract with Sox's when we excepted a job from them. They have now defaulted on that agreement. If we were a bank and they defaulted on our loan we would certainly forclose on them. We need to unite and maybe get the government behind us. There is too much fraud going on in this country and maybe we can do something to stop this company from continuing. We need to get this company closed down and the officers of this company prosecuted for fraud.
