And this is how they stay in business. They pay just enough people without a hassle so they'll post about it on the board so when some suckers are doing a search they'll see one or two positive messages to go along with the 100 negative messages and they'll "take a chance".
Quit while you're ahead Roger. And stop typing "re" at the beginning of your subject headers when you're starting a new thread, it's annoying!

I also had to threaten them to get payment after repeated calls went unreturned. Sent my usual email and got a call back within 10 minutes.

I don't understand why anyone is having a problem with Lia signing. I have work for them a lot and they have always paid me. Yes you could call them slow pay, but I know that when I work for them. I have always got my money and never had to fight for it with them. I usally get my check in 30 days - 45 days. There is a lot of other companies that I have had to wait longer and them I am turning them over to collections. But Lia I have never had to even say that. I understand some people want their money faster. But in this business I look at it that they are a company that calls me a lot and they do pay. Business is Business and I will take it.

I refuse to work for LIA as well.
Why the heck does it matter if he puts re: before his messages. If it annoys you so much just keep scrolling. Geez!

Closed on Feb 27th, still waiting - 54 days now. My terms are net 45 days and at 60 days they go on my Denial of Service List. Then the collection, late fee and interest charges begin. I don't do charity work, loan funded 50 days ago and I should have been paid in a reasonable time.

Re: I turned them down today. He was not surprised at all. n
They are terrible. I have been in the business for more than 16 years and they are one of the most unprofessional. They sound nice, but they don't care if you get paid or not. It took more than 60 days the three times I gave them chances. I gave them too many chances.... I wrote her and called her to discuss this after my last transaction a couple of months ago and wanted to tell her if she does not give me any good reason to pay like this I will not work with them again. I wanted to see if she had any good reason or just tell me that she didn't want to lose me as a notary, but she never responded to any correspondence. She does not care if she loses good notaries because she will just go to the next one. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and explain herself, but there was no explanation. It is sad that the operate this way. You must remember that she has been paid, usually within 2 weeks, when the loan closes and she holds on to our money after that until she wants to dispurse it to us. I processed loans for 15 years and she will be paid, within 30 days AT MOST from the title company so it should not take 60 plus days to pay us. The docs are only good for that month and perhaps a few days into the following month. So the loan either cancels or funds by then. That is why anything more than 45 days is unacceptable to me. Even 45 days is pushing it. You should not have to wait that long.....she just gets to earn interest on your money instead of you!

They called me a couple days ago. I said I would do the closing if I was listed on the HUD. She asked why and I told her that I wanted to be paid upon funding of the loan. She got upset and said they were getting back on track with making payments in a timely manor and would not put my fee on the HUD. I said no thank you...I am getting tired of having to call and call SS's to get paid.

They say what you want to hear
They told me too that they were getting payments back on track. So I tried again.....more than 60 days for payment. I was in constant communication during that time too.
The reason she won't put someone on the HUD is because then she cannot hold onto your money. I don't require that of all companies because I don't need to, but a company like that, if they really want their notaries to stay, they would accommodate. They still get paid, they just cannot hold on to your money. Title issues two checks, one to you and one to them.
Truth is, she just wants to keep doing what she is doing, and why not? She makes money that way.....
She does.....because she can........

Re: They say what you want to hear
I just wanted to let everyone know that my experience with Lia was a positive one and that I would consider working for them again. I found them to be professional and honest and would like to think that they are at least trying to get their business and reputation back on track. I would also like to know what the big deal is with my using "re" when I post ? I swear it seems like (2 me) that there are some of you who are always looking for something to complain about.
