This should be in Signing Central. What's up with the
SS's wanting comments posted on Notrot's forum? I got a request to do that from a company when I completed a closing for them last week. They emailed me 2 days ago, said my check was in the mail and would appreciate it if I would post comments about them on their website along with posting on NotRot and the other more popular notary forums after I received my check. It was a new company for me and I checked them out here and a couple of other sights, no negatives anywhere and I find the request puzzling, especially since they wanted the posting on the forum not in Signing Central where it should be posted.

Re: This should be in Signing Central. What's up with the
Well, hopefully it's because the SS's are getting the message that we notaries tell each other about the non-pay companies and then when they call around trying to fill an order, they get told over and over, "Oh, sorry, no can do. Comments on Notary Rotary say you don't pay." I think they may be realizing what a powerful tool we have here. Good comments can be really helpful, especially for a new company that has no history.
I remember during the throws of when Mick from All Pro was getting a lot of non-pay posts. He had moved and changed his phone number, but was still calling notaries and booking jobs. Well, since his phone number showed up on caller ID, the notaries he called were sharing his new contact number with the people who were trying to call him about past due invoices. I had one invoice open with him at that time (I did the job literally days before the stuff really started hitting the fan with him) and he mentioned to me that he hadn't even been aware of the Notary Rotary forum - that we notaries had a venue to talk about the various companies - and he was being inundated with calls. Afterward I noticed that had his phone number blocked so it would not display on caller ID.

I made this post to inform my fellow signing agents. I very much appreciate being able to check out the signing agencies on this website before accepting work from them. I return the favor by contributing when I can.

Ronnie, I'm happy for you. Good for you, etc etc, BUT this really does belong in Signing Central. The ease of looking up a SS in a hurry and getting immediate feedback, whether it be positive or not, is incredibly helpful. Using the "search" tab to gleen info on a SS is much more time consuming. Please do us all a favor and update signing central with your comments.

Add her company to Signing Central, add your comment
and/or rating, then link this post once the listing shows up...then everyone can find it..
