Comment by Archer Title
I was just reading a post by someone on 8/8, which reminded me of a call I had gotten a few weeks ago from Archer Title. Archer Title had hired CourtesySigners to find notaries for them. CourtesySigners had hired me for a local signing and then had not paid me. I complained to the lender who forwarded the issue to Archer. Archer called me and said that they wouldn't get involved in the problem. I said, "But, knowing that CourtesySigners isn't paying their notaries, will you stop using them?" "No," the woman responded. "As far as we're concerned, CountesySigners has done a good job. They hired someone to conduct the closing and that person [moi] did the job well." How's that for logic!

I have had the opposite experience with the Title Co. I worked for. They want to know if the SS they are using are not paying. I would continue to let them know.

Re: CourtesySigners - isn't that Andy's company?? I dont
think so. I think his is 1st Courtesy Signers - I did one for Courtesy Signers when it was first posted that Andy was having problems and they paid right at 30 days.

Yes this is Andy's company. He hired me back in April for a signing. He has not yet paid me and this is August. I have called left several messages, no return calls. e-mailed and never got a response. I have mailed and still no response.

Courtesy Signers and 1st Courtesy Signers Nerwork are two different companies from what I understand. And Lei is the registered owner of 1st Courtesy Signers Network according to WHOIS and Courtesy Signers is managed by proxy. I closed for Courtesy Signers on April 28th (Archer Land Title deal) and was paid on May 31st.

Is Archer showing the notary fee on their HUD-1 now? (payable to CourtesySigners I guess) I used to close deals for them and they always paid out of their closing fee, it used to irk me
