This would be recent, I too have been paid with no delays until the last 2 weeks, In which I was told that they were switching accounting systems.

As I said you are talking about 8-9 months ago. I am talking current time August 2008. I am trying to find out if a system change is all it is. There are alot pf companys paying 9 months ago that are history today.

Paul, long after all the "other" title companies have demised, First American Title will still be standing tall. They are the "original title company" of our great nation. When I lived in LA, as a young college graduate on my first Real Estate job, First American did all our title work in the 70's. I had an opportunity to visit the title plant downtown on Spring Street, had lunch in the executive dining room. They are definitely a solid institution.
A lot of the title/escrow companies we've seen crash and burn were advents of the industry who were grabbing the bra$$ ring, and when the industry crashed, they crashed too, because they didn't have the foundation that First American has established for many, many years.
