Field Inspections - Insurance Inpections

Can anyone provide me with information about Insurance Inspections? I am looking for some general info such as your exterior condition inspections VS. interior ( what does it entail ); and residential VS. commercial - what would a commercial inspection encompass. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Residential inspection may include the followings; Ground and Sprinklers, Sidewalks and Driveways, Patios and Decks, Fences, Foundations, Exterior finishes, Interior finishes, Trim and Fascia, Gutters and Downspouts. Roofing Materials and Condition, Fireplace and Chimney, Water heater, Electrical, Windows and doors, Built-in kitchen appliances, Heating and Cooling system,
Pool and Pool Equipment. These are some of the items that may include in your home inspections.
They might require some other things to be inspected as well.

Insurance inspection includes the followings; Roof, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC.

Commercial inspection may includes the followings; plumbing, electrical, heating / air conditioning, roofing, pool, spa, water features, elevator and security.

This is just from personal knowledge, I have been in the construction industry for the pas 17 years and have deal with inspectors for that long. So, please browse through out, there are some courses, and certifications that can help you to do this type of work. Carmen
