Harry - Please update the Search DB!
With all the problems the industy is having, and so many companies crashing and burning, I among others would love to use the search feature instead of going back page by page.

How about just turning it on?
Most of the time the search function just does not operate for me - even if I put in dates for the search. I tried going back a few pages and pulling an SS name from the topic line, and I get a 'no results' kind of comment.

If we'd all start linking the good, the bad & the ugly
It would be sooo much simpler to just go to Signing Central, find the co. & read all about it. Along those same lines, again, mho, even the best SS should only receive 3 stars--just because they are getting some of 'our' money, the hoops & the waiting for payment cost them 2 stars right outta the box.

Not all agencies are listed in Signing Central
Take, for instance, Notary National Assurance. They are not in SC AND the search function doesn't pull up any of the multiple posts regarding them. I used to pull up info without the dates, now I have to use dates and sometimes even THAT doesn't work.

That's because they are a really NEW co.
There is a post just down the page a bit. Not much info now and as soon as I get paid (only 12 days now), I will add them & link.

Search used to allow you to pull up posts by topic
not just by SS.

re: Signing Central star ratings
If you are among the first few people to rate a company the stars will not show up, until several have added ratings; the reason being, is Harry doesn't want one or two people skewing someones' reputation, but if more than a couple ratings are added then it will reflect. I have rated a company (I have not personally worked for them) that I know pays low ($85) for e-docs. I considered them, below average, in my opinion, paying less than $100 is below average. I know of many SS that will pay $125 for e-docs. (and not just the companies that want faxbacks or huge packages...I mean $125 for a regular package) The company I rated emailed me and called me to ask me (more than once) to change their rating- because they didn't think it fair that I added a rating based on fees. (my additional rating did not change their star rating btw...) What do you think? Do companies deserve to be rated only on payment practices, or on other things as well? I think many factors should be considered; the amount of fees and how it is split; communication, professionalism, prompt payment, etc..

Grrr. I just checked and the scheduled process I created to update the search database has not been running properly. I just ran it manually, so the database should be up-to-date now, and I believe I've fixed the scheduled process. I will check it tomorrow to see if it worked.
