I'd love to know how the dead and mummified Mr. Johnson was able to sign a deed!

How the heck do you transfer property 3 times

without anyone having an inspection done - or what about the appraisal, which is part and parcel of the foreclosure process? And are the neighbors dead too? Didn't they smell anything?

Man, and they talk about US!!

How does anyone buy a house without looking inside to see what work need to be done?
It's pretty sad, funny and pathetic what idiots.

I wonder who the notary worked for that notarized the signature of a dead man on the deed? A paralegal at the office of the lawyer for the buyer? How often does a notary at a law office actually witness the signaure of a signer and view their ID?

According to the times story, the deed was purportedly signed by the dead man's mother, who was the owner. The notary was the mortgage broker's mother. Another key player was also a relative, but I can't remember which role he played.

The dead man's mother owned the house and signed the deed, but didn't know that her son was dead in the house?! It is sad to think that a person isn't heard from for three years and no one...family, friends, co-workers...thinks to go to the house to look for him.

How could you not miss your son? Didn't the neighbors hear the dog barking when it was trying to get attention before it starved to death? Or were they killed, and just left there? You have to really wonder how it took so long for anyone to enter that house!
