Journal Entries
I will be notarizing documents in the sale of a mortuary. Since there is one loan document pkg and will be several signatures to notarize, does each signature require a journal entry or one journal entry for the whole document?

One document package does not equal one document.

With the Modern Journal Features from NotaryRotary one journal signature would be ok.If you use old style journal may need more.Buy The NotaryRotary journal.

That may be true if you are notarizing the signature of only one person. If there are more people, each person gets their own signature line. Don't know if that's how they do it in CA - I am in VA and that's how I do mine, but then again I am not even required to keep a journal in this state.

If you are in California, you are REQUIRED to use a separate journal entry for each notarization. So, each time you stamp your little stamp, there MUST be a journal entry for it. Do not be fooled by the boxes in the NotRot journal, if you are in California, you cannot just check the little boxes for more than one notarization.
