This company pays it's bills, but is slow in getting eDocs to the notary. If you accept an assignment from this or from an agent representing this company, I suggest stating a time limit for "must be signed today documents." Each time I did one under these conditions, the "documents are ready to go" did not happen and took at least an hour to arrive by email. If the appointment is set for a 2-3 hour signing AFTER you are contacted and accept the assignment, the documents may arrive one hour before the actual signing time. On one occassion the documents arrived 15 minutes before the appointed signing time (and the agreement to do the signing was made four days before). I did not find it enough time to review the documents and drive to the signing location on more than one occassion. I believe this is a good company to work with, but it needs to fix the issue of getting documents timely to the Notary. It may be one person in the chain of communication in the organization that is causing the delay, not all employees/owners of the company. Also, if your documents are not arriving on time, don't call the Processor, she does not want to talk to a Notary.

Why didn't you have enough time? When docs arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointed signing time, they know you are going to be running late.

Add a 1/2 hour drive to get to the clients What really made me upset was that LSI sent me documents for the wrong client an hour earlier. It took them an hour to respond and send the correct documents. I know LSI has no control over documents that come to them, but when they call you on Friday at 3:00 pm for a Monday signing, I would hope they would prioritize the order documents are sent out to the Notary.

If it's important to you, setting a 'deadline' time on docs seems to work with this co. Otherwise, as Sue said, they know you'll be late.

I have found its more the lender than LSI
LSI has no control over how soon loan docs get to them.

I figure that late docs are part of this business...

...and I just try to roll with it. I call all borrowers affected by my being late and have seldom had a problem. Most borrowers are OK with my running late as long as I communicate well with them.

I think that documents are usually late because the lenders are still working on the figures, rather than because of title.
