Lenders First Choice - Checks not clearing bank

I received a check for Lenders First Choice of Greenwood Village, Collorado. It did not clear the bank. A replacement check was issued and the second check did not clear the bank.

Yes Brenda, you are right.

You maybe in a long line of people who have been left high and dry, depending on what bank your check was drawn.

I hope that came across as humor. Someone PMd to ask what I meant.

Alright, Philip. I'm sorry. Maybe you would benefit from my professional coaching class.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you warn us about this?

And didn't a certain unprofessional, constantly advertising and whining SS owner take you to task for this, basically chastising you and calling you a know it all (and not in the endearing way th

Now that you mention it, I think so!

In so many words, I think that was pretty much the context of it.

Now I hate when that happens!!

I didn't finishing typing and hadn't yet done my spell check so that I wouldn't get belittled for my atrocious grasp of the English language when poof, there went my post in midsentence. Ha! Al, who was it that did that?

Someone actually did do that here.

It was pretty funny.

Now that you mention it...sometimes people post unrelated URLs which resolve to their own domain.

This has been discussed daily for the past week and a half. Go to the Notary Talk page and read all the message headers until you find one about LFC or ART or Mercury. Then click the PREV button in the upper left or lower left corner of the page - that will take you to the next page of previous messages. Keep doing that until you get to July 25th, where the first message about a bounced LFC check was posted. LFC has shut their doors.

I don't believe the search button will work on this one, as the posts are too recent to show up using the search feature.

I'm in Md the check was issued 7/30 I took it to the bank it is drawn on (my acct is there too) the bank couldn't hold the funds cause LFC didn't notify the "trustee" to release the funds and there is $$ in the account. I called the Md Ins. Commissioner he's looking into it however I'm probably out of luck.

I am thankful that this was one company that did not get me. They have been low-ballers and I wouldn't do their title work or their closings. There was one woman here in Maryland that did their closings for $75 (email docs). She put me right out of work with them, THANK YOU! (You know who you are, what comes around goes around). Smile

Sorry, I had to say it.

Is that check drawn on Wachovia Ilene? If so, I guess I got lucky and got to the bank just in time.
