Re: Feedback requested from left coast notaries
"...all I read about is non-paying SS's out there."
There are many good ones, just no reason to post complaints about them. AND apparently a batch of notaries with smart enough business minds to not give away their best clients (of the ss species...)
And we've discussed your pay ad nauseum!

Response to Janet
Yes, you should not divulge your good clients. That is why you never read anything posted about us. And the key to your response is "You Pay." All of my notaries are happy with the way NNS does business. We have a complete database and don't really need any more NSA's. I just want feedback on the need for a good SS out there. Some say self-promotion. Why? The only self-promotion we have to do is to TC's. If we decide to move up our dates for the WC, it will benefit the NSA's that have been with us. I am not trying to recruit more.

I think there are plenty of good SSs out there. There's no need for another. Will you now take that feedback and stop asking?

Re: Response to Brenda
I realize there are alot of NSA's that don't like the concept of a SS. But SS's are a big part of this business and always will be. There are good and bad with each one. NSA's decide who they work for. I just asked a simple question to guage the need out west. To alot of NSA's, knowing you will get paid and paid fast is a big plus. For others, it doesn't matter. I am not asking anyone to work for us. NNS is targeting each state and we have our timetables. It was a simple question for those already in our database. If alot are unhappy with the SS's out there, we would change our timetables.

No one in this thread said anything of the kind. I said there are plenty of good SSs. You have your feedback. Relax and take heed.
You don't respond well to social subtleties do you? Let me explain.
People are not saying they do not like the concept of the SS in this thread. They are saying they are annoyed with your repeated posts about the same ol', same ol' stuff.

<<<a simple question for those already in our database>>>
IF that were true, you would pose your simple question directly to the people already in your data base.
<<<If alot are unhappy with the SS's out there, we would change our timetables.>>>
Alot are not unhappy with the timetables, but the fees. Would you change your fees?
Bob, you're full of malarkey. You are advertising, pure and simple.

When you say this is advertising, do you mean that he is
hoping title companies will be reading these forums hoping to find a good SS to use? If that is the case, I can see how it would be a violation of the advertising policy.
On the other hand, if you mean he is hoping NSAs will sign on with his company, then I don't think that constitutes a prohibited advertisement as described in the Rules & Regs. After all, he isn't marketing his products or services for sale.
I for one would love to see more signing services or title companies post here to recruit NSAs. That is not the kind of advertising that should be prohibited here; rather, it should be welcomed.

Ga. Atty., Clearly, you are an honest soul without an eye constantly on the forums to figure out how to con people if your current endeavors do not pan out. You don't think like an guerrilla marketing-internet entrepreneur...but many who visit these boards do? The "questions" asked are often not the questions that need to be answered. Consider the ads on TV about "work from home!". Those are not designed to respond to home workers with home employment, but to develop huge mailing lists to sell with the names of "opportunity seekers' on them.
Harry has no way to assure that the people who post as “SSs” are signing services, or Amway recruiters…or spammers.
If you follow the rules this forum was set up with things work perfectly on this board.
Start bending rules and this will no longer be a community but daily-spam board.
The types like NNS build their databases off of the work of NR and then they can do whatever they want to with the database they have stolen from NR. There’s a big network of SSs who did exactly that....

Re: When you say this is advertising, do you mean that he is
I tend to agree with this line of thinking. If we have Signing Central, where we rate ss & post comments, why not allow them equal opportunity. Again, this is a general comment, not directed at one company or individual. I still maintain that we are one the same side--trying to keep the NSA profession alive and prospering. For those who choose not to work with ss--fine. Others are desperate for work these days, and will welcome any opportunity to increase their business. I'm for allowing it, and don't understand the negative reactions.

GA/Atty I have to disagree. I pay to have my name listed on this site and if this SS or any other SS does as you suggest then it will surely cut into Harry's business. Why pay to advertise when I can just browse through the messages for those SS's that are looking for notaries but too lazy to go to the "Find a Notary" site or, as Brenda/TX said, trying to build up their data base at Harry's expense.

Since he's building a database from Notrot notaries from his
free advertising on this forum, who's to say he isn't marketing that database to other scam notary listing companies? There's a lot of money to be made in sell email lists to spammers. Why do you think we aren't supposed to talk about the numeric notary company on this forum? Why should he be treated any differently?

Actually SS are rapidly becoming a smaller part of the biz!
As more and more of them bite the dust. Of all the parts of the closing chain SS are most useless!

NNS - You don't get it...
...Brenda was right when she wrote, "You don't respond well to social subtleties do you?"
You keep making positive comments about your company and how you do business...can't you tell no one is buying it and show their annoyance in their responses? Why don't you just quit trying? If you want to post, do it about something the others are interested in.

I thought a week ago or so you said you were going to ask all the (many) notaries that had worked for you to post something here reflecting your merit? So far we've only heard form one anonymous soul.

Re: Response to Les
You are absolutely right. I apologize, we were too slammed last week. I will start asking notaries to post today. They will be asked only to post their opinions wheather it be good or bad. We value all the feedback because the only way to fix something is to know about it. Thank you for reminding me.

Please don't!!
I think your point has been made. Here is my sincere, honest opinion about the subject: Everyone is going to make their own determination as to whether or not they want to work for you, as they should. The more you keep bringing up the subject of whether or not you are one of the good guys, the worse you look to most of us.
I suggest you let your actions speak for themselves. The best way to improve your reputation on this board, imo, is to add value on topics related to things other than talk about yourself or your company. There are few people (maybe just a dozen or so) who post on this board whose opinion matters to me. If someone from whom I have heard very little in the past posts a positive comment on this board, most of us are going to automatically dismiss it as meaningless. It comes across as just more self promotion. If you are as good as you profess to be, none of that should be necessary.

I don't know what type of people you normally deal with, but I definitely don't do business that way. What would be the point of that? I do business the old fashioned way. As I've said before, my word is my bond. Find someone who can say different.

I think Harry should have some type of program that if you get let's say 50 or 75 complains from the rest of the posters that you should be banned from posting. I will vote to have this NNS guy out of the forum. Of course this is just my opinion. This guys keeps saying how good his company is and Lisa is telling us that it is ok to take a lower fee.

Come on Zee...I want to hear from some here (preferably paying memders) that have worked for him. We could both be surprised. I have seen many here that say they don't work for less than $xxx.xx, but many many post about the recent Mercury/LFC melt down, and about their $50-$75 checks bouncing.
