NNASSURANCE GBU
Hi all,
I have been called to do a signing for this company out of Chandler AZ. Caller was David White. Company is known as National Notary Assurance. He said they were an AZ company but have recently branched out into the Nationwide market.
Does anyone have any info on them?

Too soon to tell. Just did one for them 7/25. Called for early a.m. signing the next day, docs arrived timely, thankfully, as the CO was quite lacking in information (no phone #'s, address incorrect). Hopefully, they have learned as lord knows I told 'em. Yeah, I take the risk IF it makes sense to do so. Would I travel very far for a brand new co? Nah.

He contacted me this week
But I was at my other job, lost the signing. Please let us know how it works out, I searched for him and his company and NADA.
Must have good contacts if he is calling all over this week.

Re: He contacted me this week
I just googled them. Looks like they want notaries to join their database at a cost of $10.95. Better make sure they don't want to deduct that amount from your first signing with them.

Re: He contacted me this week
Hi 9 lives,
I discussed that with him. He said that when they call a Notary to do a job for them, they automatically put that Notary in their data base and bypass the signup fee.
He said he had to discuss my fee with the TC. When I called back, he said the TC thought my fee was too high and so he went ahead and scheduled with another Notary. That is fine with me. I will not lower my fees and since I usually end up fixing the problems it works out.
Thank you for all who responded.

I also get suspicious when the only phone/fax numbers listed are 800 numbers.

Re: He contacted me this week
I just got a call from them last week. I wasn't able to do the signing because of the time requested. However, I have never heard of a signing company wanting to charge Notaries to be in their database. I wouldn't be open to it.
I realize things are slow. We as Notaries must be patient but not gullable. I've had a few companies to not pay me and have the nerve to call me for more closings. It isn't fair but all businesses face that. Lots of signing companies want you to work for free (not make anything) and I don't know of anyone who can afford it. If you know your base fee, don't walk out the door for any less.
