NREIS....talking about low pay scale....
They called...docs to bwr...$65 w/emailed HUD & affs. Go to Signing Central and see all the glowing comments on them. One even says they pay low, but on time. Why do so many of us who claim to be professionals continue to shoot ourselves in the foot? If we can't stand together in demanding reasonable fees, we surely will circle the drain one at a time. I know, I know....I've also listened and gagged on this subject for a long time. It just pi$$es me off to no end that we let them get away with this with less than a whimper. DAMN !!

I stopped taking their signings back when they lowered their fee to $90 (with edocs). My minimum has been $110 for a signing with edocs for at least 3 years; now gas costs double...as does most everything else and they still offer insulting fees.
NREIS called today offering me a signing with edocs for $90 and she said she'd send over the confirmation as soon as I faxed my Missouri commission to them so they could verify I'm a MO notary. I told her there is no reason for me to fax anything since they hadn't met my minimum fee in 2 years and it wasn't likely they'd start now. She hemmed and hawed and finally hung up. She hasn't called back so I assume my fee 'was not approved'. Big surprise.
Others in this area, Kansas City, may be willing to take NREIS' insultingly low fees, but I won't. I'm branching into new areas for income and when all the signing agents in this area go belly up, who will close NREIS' loans then? I can't say I care.

Sadly, for some it is not the fee that is most important, it's the speed of payment.

Lenders First Choice did the same thing and look where they are now. Could be on the horizon for NREIS

NREIS is probably dying a slow death...
...the only loans I ever got from them were Countrywide.

They called me today for a closing.... 120 miles round trip, I told them it was no longer in my service area. I'm guessing they didn't find anyone because I got 2 more phone calls after that. They've always met my fee in the past and pay is like clocckwork, but I'm guessing things must be slow for them as well......
$90 on my moped wouldn't be worth it (BTW, would never drive 120 miles round trip on the moped, lol!)

What really burns me about this is that they get their fee structure from the NNA site. Granted, the NNA fees are "suggested minimums". I do some work for NREIS. They pay lower than my minimum, but for a while almost all the CW's came from them, and there was some volume every month. Every time I do one for them I know I really need to call & be removed from the database. I've spoken with them a number of times, and they will not budge on the fees they have established. They are still not as bad as ServiceLink.
