Notary Beta Testers Needed
We are looking for beta-testers for a notary website that will be launching very soon. We are conducting an internet study and we are interested in your opinion. You are receiving this invitation to participate because you are a Notary. We believe this new site will revolutionize how notaries connect with clients, and we’d like your feedback! If you participate in this study, you will be entered a contest for a chance to win either one of (2) $100 Visa Gift card certificates, or a Garmin GPS –(nuci 250) To participate, please send us an e-mail. Thank You.

Yep, got it. I am always suspicious of things like this that are sent over the internet. They don't identify themselves or give any kind of background. Delete it!

I requested to be removed from their mailing list, then deleted the email.
If you check out the site, the only listings appear to be fake or "dummy" listings (they all have the same phone #).

How did you check out their site, Teresa? I don't see a web site address

Look at the email address in the message that started this thread. Replace the "[e-mail address]" with just ".com" and there you are.

Okay..gotta bite the bullet on this one - that's gotta rank
up there as one of the dumbest posts I've ever made - I apologize...
My point being no database..no hits...no google ratings...no exposure...should have said that from the get-go...and since no one has ever even heard of them the possibilities of success, IMO, are questionable...
I'll go take my meds now and hide for a while...

I did as Teresa suggested and checked out their website (findnotaryagents.com). It's a fee-based membership ("less than 3cents a day" . Like she said, not much in their database right now except for a few in Florida. I'll delete like most everyone else did, but will keep their URL in a tickler for a few months to see how (and if !) it develops into anything worth the investment. Thanks for all your replies! If any of you "bite". . . let us know how it "tastes" further down the line! :-)

***Now where did that funny little happy/whatever face come from???? I didn't put it there.***
Apparently, the closing parenthesis is coded to produce that happy face. It's really annoying when you type something like "(the day my mother died)" and wind up with that stupid grinning HF.

Well, okay...so it didn't produce it this time. Forget the preceding post. Forget the happy face. Forget my mother's demise. ).

Happy faces
If you put ; next to ) you get a wink. If : next to ) a smiley and if : next to ( you get a sad face.

Snicker
"Jealously and Gossip are terrible things aren't they?"
If you read that thread and concluded that people's responses were motivated by jealousy, then you're obviously too stupid for me to ever consider doing business with.
Looking forward to seeing what the "revolutionary" new way of notaries connecting is, that should be a real hoot, since we all know that the phone is the only practical way to do it in this business.

Re: Notary Beta Testers Needed- YES! ITS REAL!!
**You just never know who is watching and listening, right?**
That's so scary. We are so embarrassed that you are watching and listening.
Not; David, not.
**Jealously and Gossip are terrible things aren't they?**
No one is jealous of you.
No one is gossiping about you.
You are yet another trying to find yet another way to make a quick buck off a declining industry.
In the words of the great notary philosopher, CaliNotary: "Snicker" .
