Notary National Signers
I have been reading the messages about Notary National Signers. I have had no trouble with Bob Atamian. He has paid me on time. and I will gladly accept signings from his company. I have closed 10 loans with them and have had not trouble. Sometime the docs are late, but that is the lenders fault. This is the business we are in. If anyone has any questions requarding this company, please feel fee to contact me.

WILL NEVER WORK FOR THEM AGAIN!
I've held my tongue on this company, but all of this "free advertising" is getting crazy.
Two years ago I did a signing for them. Oh they met my fee. But the wife didn't have proper ID. No problem, call attorney of staff, call the office, call the LO, call everyone that we could find a phone # for. No one returned my calls or the borrowers (very early am signing). State of Idaho is not as strict as most states, and she was willing to get her ID updated before the docs had to go out (tried to find out IF we could use a credible witness, but they wouldn't even be available until later in the morning). So we proceeded with the signing, but I would not attach my seal and signature until she got her ID updated a couple of hours later when the DMV opened. Then the problems began. She couldn't update her ID without a certified marriage certificate (after 11 years she never bothered to get one). Ok, we will use witnesses. But docs now won't go out that day.
Finally got a call from NNS to just seal and send. No way. That is when the threats began. And it got ugly. To the point that the title company was demanding that I just drop them and they will sign and seal them. That sure wasn't going to happen. Needless to say we did get the witnesses and docs were dropped just in the nick of time. But I was told that since "I caused" these problems, they weren't going to approve a fee adjustment for the extra travel and hassles.
To make a very long story short, I sent my invoice and a letter of explaination as to why the fees increased. Their "attorney" called me and started to chew me upside down. How dare I not call her, etc. After she gave me the chewing out, I explained to her that I did call and left a couple of messages, especially when the threats started. And that she never returned my calls. Ooops, she had had a family emergency and it slipped her mind. And what people were demanding was illegal. Needless to say, I was paid in full and the extra fees were paid too.
Because NNS was not willing to back me as a notary, and made the situation even worse, I swore to never work with them again.

Re: Notary National Signers - Why does no one state the
rates. I see a lot of comments about how they pay on time but the isisue is are they a lowballer and it appears that no one is ready to say how much they pay. Besides NNS has threatened to flood the board with their happy service providers. Are you a shill?

Bunch of BS
I think this is a reverse psychology job. Take a look at the NNS website. If this company is so successful why does there website look like it is a Kmart Special.

No Charles I'm a guy who doesn't
understand why everyone wants to storm the castle and string Bob up. My agreement with him was for $XXX.00 and he paid within 21 days. If you and the others don't want to work with him, then don't, but to throw slurs at those who do and state what happened truthfully is really beyond me and should be beyond you.

Re: No Charles I'm a guy who doesn't
First of all, the notary sets their rates and if they can't agree every one moves on.
Secondly, the animosity is from the blatant avertising this company did on the forum followed by testamonials by seldom, if at all seen, notaries on the forum. This company has been the subject of postings going back to May of 2005. Always the same questions. Yes their website is to hard to read. the type is to light.

Well we have three so far! You may not like his ( Bob's) style. Or his web site, and one could sure question the figures he puts forth. We as independend contractors, are free to do a signing for $10, or charge what we want. I do know one thing there are many deadbeats, and theives out there masquerading as legitimste businesses, and in a business baised on trust I want to know who pays and who does not. I'll decide WHAT he pay me, not IF.

I love National Notary Signers....
I've been doing this for 10+ years, many of you know me here. I am willing to take the fee I get from Bob simply because you can count on the check being in the mail in 14 days. No ifs, ands or buts, its in the mail. Never once have I been paid late by Bob, never once, have I had a payment problem. For that, I am willing to take a slightly discounted fee.
I will not disclose what Bob pays me, simply because that is for you to talk to him about. Stop asking others what they charge, its your freaking business, either negotiate the fee or don't take the job. Its not that hard.
I swear some of you have become Notary Nazis in your attitudes...... I'll close all I can for NNS when I have an availability simply because I know I'll be paid, and promptly.
I swear some of you have a some sense of entitlement in this business. Guys/Gals, if you don't like the rates, don't take the job.
Bob, call me anytime.

I don't get this mentality. You're willing to take a discounted fee because he's doing what he should already be doing anyway? The same thing that most companies already do as well?

Yes, guaranteed payment. Absolutely, I'll take a discount, for not having to wait 30 days or more for payment.
As for "the same thing most companies already do as well?" Have you read this forum? This lists go on and on and on and on of companies that don't pay.
Now, I rarely work for signing companies, because I have good title contacts that keep me busy. A lot of notaries aren't getting work, and when they do take a job, they aren't getting paid..... SO yes.... I'll take all NNS signings I can get.

in 2 threads around this one....
LFC Checks bounced Docs Pro Checks bounced
and one about not working in 4 months....or so.
Seems like a good reason to be taking assignments from ANY COMPANY that pays not only on time...but early....I'm assuming you all have a net 30 day policy before late fee applies? In this case its a Net 30 day before late, but with discount for 3 week payment.

"Yes, guaranteed payment."
No, likely payment. A lot of people thought working for NDWA was guaranteed payment too and he ended up f*cking them over.
"As for "the same thing most companies already do as well?" Have you read this forum? This lists go on and on and on and on of companies that don't pay."
And the list of companies that do pay in a timely manner is even longer. You know exactly why only the bad companies are talked about in here.
I have a bunch of companies that use me regularly or semi-regularly and they all pay consistently and within 30 days. I'm appreciative of the fact that they do that, but not appreciative enough to think that means they should keep a larger cut of the fee.
I have yet to have a company tell me that they're going to pay me a little bit more because I didn't screw up like so many of their other notaries have. So I'm not going to pay these companies a little bit more because they didn't screw up my payment like other companies do.

No problem w/NNS pay timely although fee low BUT....
I do have a problem w/one of the title co.'s they do business with. I got a confirmation for signing to take place the same day & called borrowers to confirm exact time (no specific time set). Borrower calls me back to say that lender needs to reschedule for whatever reason. Then I get a nasty email from the title co. (NOT Bob) stating that I am not to call borrower to confirm until they tell me it is ok to do so. Well... then you shouldn't have scheduled an appt w/me if the signing was not set to happen. My policy now (at least w/this part. title co.) is that I will not call any borrower to confirm until told to do so but if this is done then I cannot gtd that I will be available for the appt either. Sorry but unless I get an actual "confirmed" appt then an appt does not really exist. I'm not going to set that time aside only to be told their not ready to go at the last minute. I've had 2 "scheduled" appts already through Bob w/this TC that have required me to call NNS at the last minute to see what was happening w/them & then be told "oh, we're going to have to reschedule that."

My experience with NNS
I accepted a signing for 2/13/08. Payment was promised WITHIN 30 days. On 3/12/08 I contacted the company to inquire as to when I would be paid. I was told to email the confirmation to Bob. Received check 3/16/08. He did keep his word and mail payment right away after being contacted at 29 days, but I don't like having to ask where my money is when payment terms were made clear at the inception. I wasn't impressed.

I usually do not post on board, but read it often. However, I have to speak up for Bob and the staff at NNS. His office is 5 mins from my home and I do closings for him in RI. He is a great person to work for. I can say from personal experience that he DOES stand up for the notary. What I work for is no ones business but mine, but he has always paid promptly.

Now Dottie, you are the person our friends
from California have been looking for. You live five minutes from NNS, so you have to be the shill they have been looking for. Go ahead and fess up to our California friends that you are the owner of said company and just hiding behind such an innocent name. Go ahead fess up, cleanse yourself, purge all those guilty thoughts you've had about screwing notaries nationwide and not paying a working notary wage. I'd say you are almost as bad as Wal Mart, no I will say you're worse than Wal mart, shame on you, shame on you.
What makes it worse is you hide behind such a sweet name. Shameful, shameful.

Great to see you, Shane...and warm welcome to you.
I hope you won't be a stranger...been missing seeing you around.
We all have our opinions about what is spam and what is not.
I'll be glad to be termed as a Notary Nazi in this case.
It's not just about personal likes and dislikes as much as it is about what the board's rules are and apparently, someone at NR has the same feeling about NNS's postings (See the deleted post) whether I do, or you do, or anyone else does or not.
And, I'm glad you are having a positive experience. It's just gotten kind of old to see it repeatedly, but glad Bob could bring you back "home" to put your two cents worth in here.
I don't think I have a sense of entitlement, though...just a sense of consideration about the community and not seeing this board dissolve into an advertisement space. Other boards have gone down to very low activity so in comparison, I'd say that Harry's doing something right as this board is the most active there is. I am thankful Harry's place has continued to be a place for notary discussion and not for signing service discussions and cattle calls.
Hope things are going well for you.

I'm not on anyones one's side, as a matter of fact I have a close friend that has a SS that would be Bob's competition. I just think this board should reflect the truth, and the realities of our business today.
