Physical Inspections or Business Verifications
Have you guys done these type of work before?
I have done it for at least 6 months now, but don't know if I am charging the right amount. What is the price range for these type of work?
Anyone here can help me?

I performed a physical inspection 5 miles from home for $50.00. With it only being 30 minutes, and emailing the information that took less than 10 minutes, I'd say the $50 was a good amount for the work being done (including transportation costs). At any rate, I was able to schedule the inspection on my way to another assignment, so it was a good deal on my part and the company didn't have a problem with my fee either.

So, I have been under paid, ah! thanks for the information. That is too funny. Can't believe this company just tried to squeeze you like a bug just to make them more richer!! ah!

This just wrong, I think companies should paid a fair price for our work. With the cost of gas it is incredible that they still paid that little for. Yes, I have been paid as little as $ 25.00 for the inspection, It really stink right! Now I know how much to charge that Company for now on. Thank you for the information. Kay

It's Vision Compliance - very easy to work with and relatively quick pay

These companies are lowering fees
I belong to several inspection forums, and around the board, experienced inspectors are complaining about the reduction in fees. These companies have found that NSAs with reduced workloads are accepting them at a lower rate. Sound familiar?

Re: These companies are lowering fees
arghhhhh!!! If I have to do an inspection less than $50, it had better be less than 10 miles from home. I refuse to work for pennies. I consider myself a professional - if my time is as valuable to them as it is to me, they'd better not consider calling me for less than I'm worth. Additionally, keeping a solid pay structure makes sense for the entire notary community. We all need to band together and refuse to accept low ball assignments.

I agree.. we need to stand firm and KNOW that we are Professionals and we are Worth it. Unfortunately, there are 'starving notaries' out there that will give their services away in order to have work.. thats what these services are looking for.. Nations Direct called me today - $60 eDocs.. I told them I'd rather go to the Mall ... LOL
I can just imagine lenders calling an Appraiser and asking THEM to cut their Professional Fee..NOT!

I agree with you, I didn't know at the begining how much to charge. But just today I said no to an old client that I had work before for them Turner of the Century. Well i just couldn't go for $ 35.00 sorry, I can't just work for pennies either. Kay
