Question RE: EFaxing

Does anyone out there use EFaxing only? I just got rid of my Land Line because I hardly ever use it. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help you may offer Smile

Have a wonderful and safe weekend !! Labor Day can you believe summers over.

WinFax Pro for outgoing faxes

I use a couple efax accounts (primarily TrustFax with K7 as a backup), but only use them for incoming faxes. For outgoing, I use WinFax Pro. Though this program is no longer being supported by Symantec (bought from Delrina a long time ago), you can still buy it for about $25 to $40. I understand that version 10.02 fully supports XP, but I don't know about Vista.

Re: WinFax Pro for outgoing faxes

I am debating dropping my landline as well, but I am in the same boat with sending faxes. I use packetel for receiving faxes via efax, but they do not offer the "sending option" . I will check around but I am anxious as to what other SA use as well. Thanks for any advice!

Cost of doing business ...

... is the ability to send and receive faxes. That's a fact of life. How that is accomplished is up to each individual. I prefer a real, dedicated land line for my office. It is used strictly for business (and therefore is a business expense for tax purposes) and doubles as an outgoing fax line.

Thanks Paul,

I've got XP Professional on a DSL line (phone company calls it's "a data line only" <that info is for anyone who has Qwest and wants to get rid of the land line. Trust me Qwest will give not information volunteer that information. Wow! that was expensive when you realize that you're paying for a cell and land line service that you just do not use that much. I had to speak with 6 people at Qwest before one girl told me about the "data line option."

LOL I've never seen so many wires in my life! Busy disconnecting all the land line do-dads, looks like a bowl of spaghetti.

Thanks again for all the help! Looks like I'll be doing a "little" reading this afternoon. Smile

I use Myfax. Can send and receive.

Another thought. I know a person who sends through a Magic Jack and then receives through Efax. Seems happy with it last time I talked to him.

Personally, I am still old fashoned especially after the last earthquake where the cell services (none of them) worked for a couple of hours after. The land line worked, though. Go figure.

Glenn

If I did a lot of Notary work like the "Good Olde Days" I would of kept the land line. I really just do it for the "Old Faithfull" clients now. I enjoy working with them and they are such nice people. It's tough to say goodbye to some folks that have always treated you so well.

Two years ago I opened another business because you could really see the "Decline" coming. Here in Colorado the area I live in there just would not be enough work to pay those "Pesky" bills. So it was time for a change.

Earthquakes! Way to scary for me Smile

Have a great weekend Glenn
