Question for the seasoned vets about signatures.......

I'm doing a seller's signing and the docs have Jane Doe, Executor in the signature lines. I've done trustee signings where they had to add trustee after their name but not Executor. Anybody know if they're suppossed to add Executor after their names?

It has always been my policy to contact my client each time for clarification. I have even been told recently at a Trustee signing my client definitely did not want Trustee written after the signature because Trustee was not their name.

This policy has always proven to be the very best!!! No guess, no worries if it is wrong.

Agree with Kathy but I also ask the EO to send me an email with exact instructions as to how they want the BO to sign. Always good in case it comes back to bite you.

No, they do not need to write the word Executor, however....

There are lots of loan officers and title company folks out there who will want it done (because they don't really know what they are doing)......

so I agree that it is best to ask to be sure
