Sisters Charged with Real Estate Fraud

http://www.sbsun.com/news/ci_10099890

This article is in The Sun, a southern California newspaper - online. I keep thinking that one day I'm going to read an article about a notary who's a member of NotRot.

SAN BERNARDINO
Sisters charged with real estate fraud

Two sisters were arrested last week for allegedly using their company customers' signatures to buy homes in the county.

Barbara Rader, 37, of Fontana and America Adame, 45, of Lake Elsinore were taken into custody July 30 on real estate fraud charges.

The sisters, who own Pomona-based Highpoint Professionals, used the company to obtain personal information that they then used to forge real estate documents, the District Attorney's Office said.

Rader, who is a notary, notarized the documents and the sisters bought three homes in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, officials said.

The homes were leased to people who unwittingly paid the closing costs and made the sisters more than $1 million, officials said.

Adame and Rader were booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of forgery and filing a false deed
