Has anyone been paid on time in the 6 months by Brooks Closing? I may have a job but unsure if I should take.

I did one for Brooks in October. In November I had to inquire as to where my payment was. They said they would mail it the following Monday. They wrote the check on that Monday, but according to the postmark they held on to it for another 12 days before mailing it. I finally received payment at 56 days. I posted my review in Signing Central and also updated a previous post that is linked to the Brooks profile.

Nope, and I didn't ask. I did take the check to their bank before depositing to make sure it was good - it was.

Last worked for them in Dec 07 was paid in 45 days but.....

many things have changed since then. As we all have found out what was may not be what is today. I have learned to be cautious of those that were good companies but I havn't heard from them in a long time. Hopefully they are still good companies but sadly you just don't know anymore.

I agree with you things can change. Signing Carolina must be under new ownership. They have paid fees in the past. About one year ago they did pay me within a month. They have new people on the phones now too.

Also note the list is over 3 years old...

I think it's safe to say this list is pretty useless now - a quick look and I see a lot of these companies are out of business....

Best bet is research companies Signing Central and read the forum discussions on the companies - make your own decisions and develop your own No-No list ... MHO
