First American signature Services

Does First American require background screening as well as the Certification for Signing Agents? It seems to stay in their data base, you have to get screened and certified through NNA. It costs $100+ for both. Has anyone out there had any problems regarding this?

I have both, and still haven't heard from them since January '07. Probably not worth the money for the drill just to qualify if the volume of work isn't there.

I got a call from them today. Said they found me on the NNA site, and are seeking notaries with bgc. She went into the fee structure--$50--and told her I don't do $50 signings. Can you imagine---lowball & want NNA cert/bgc. What gall!!!
