Genuine Title Follow-up Post

I a signing for Genuine Title in Owings Mills, MD, ordered by Konstantin Safir on October 3, 2008. On November 12, I called to ask for payment. Kosty said they no longer paid on the 15th and 30th of the month as stated on the confirmation. When he did not return my subsequent two calls, I called Derek P. Viera, operations manager at Alpha Title Services, who followed up and sent me an e-mail saying that I should let him know if I did not receive a check by December 1. I received a check, dated 11/28/08, on December 5.

Last call I received from them was for an edoc signing at 90.00 dollars, what a joke. I have a job done for them last month, I will call them as soon as it reaches my 30 day payment policy.

My fee was MUCH higher, and they paid it in full. You can always negotiate your fee. I simply won't work for companies that won't pay what I ask.

In the beginning I accepted the $50 fees. NOT anymore. I get plenty of calls (except during this econ meltdown). I feel free now to negotiate my fees. And I do have my standards! I'm not Notary Trash!! I was surprised that SS's would go up on the fee, just by sticking to my standards. Only once did they not call back after "checking with the boss".

Maybe I did not explain myself clear. But I didn't do it for 90.00 dollars I rejected that signing. I did another job for this title co last month, and by the way they call from a cell phone, and the confirmation came from an aol.com account.
