while home purchases surged only 18%. People rushed to apply for lower rates on their existing mortgages.

This was most of the volume of business I had this month, just a few REO purchases in the past week.

Easy on the Jack Lalane fitness tapes.

There is almost a football fields length between applications and completed packets. It is easy to file an application, but one must wait for the dreaded appraiser and the underwriter to render their thoughts.
