NNA Listings

Am I missing something or is something missing?? (Or is it because it's late and I'm tired?)

I read something earlier here that made me wonder what the NNA listings looked like. It's been a very long time since I even went to their website, so I did a search, found the site, and tried to find a link to "find a notary". Isn't it curious that there isn't anything on their website to help a person find a notary public or signing agent? Or did I just miss it? I also tried various searches, as if I was looking for a notary. There I did find a link to their website, but again, didn't see anything that would help me find a signing agent, if I had a set of loan docs and was told to "find a notary"... How do companies that use their data base to find SAs even get access to it?

I think this was one of the first things that put me off an NNA and signing section membership a while back. For all I knew, I could be paying for a listing that shows up on page 30!

Just thought I'd throw this out there... Bob, was it you who said you still get work from that site? Have any insights you'd care to share? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken the only way to look up a notary is to belong (pay) SigningAgent.com to find notaries. NNA bought National Association of Signing Agent some years ago. And your right the regular Jo Shmo has no access to finding a notary, only companies willing to pay for the membership.

NNA does NOT want the public to "Find A Notary"...

This has been my complaint ever since the NNA removed "Find A Notary."

ANYONE POSING AS A COMPANY can register on the site and then has FREE access to review the notaries public listed, which I discovered many signing agents looking to see who their competitors are did. Be warned when you market- some "companies" are NOT companies, but signing agents also looking for work. (Good for NNA - gives them an easy email target marketing base by forcing companies to "sign up for Free" to view the list of NNA Paid members.)

The GENERAL PUBLIC looking for a notary finds me on Notary Rotary, which is one reason I support this site. I first became a notary public to serve the public .... and this is where they can find me.

My point, exactly! When I did my searches, Notary Rotary was all over the place.

You can "Find a Notary" on NNA if you are already a member.
