I didn't miss anything. You are missing the point. Why does the lender need to call this so called signing company when they could go to Notary Rotary direct and find a notary and then that notary would not have to split their fee with some phony signing company. But then I guess some people like to give half or more of the signing fee away.

A lot of notaries have family commitments on holidays
It's very tough to get a notary during holidays like this - I mean, the family usually expects the notary to take a little time off to spend with them on these special few days. So I'm not surprised OPNS called 15 and got no answers. People are typically visiting or hosting parents, children, other relatives, and friends through the weekend.
