Pacific Doc Services-CA & Tampa Bay Closings-FL
Payment to me is coming due from these 2 comps. Is anyone experiencing way overdue payments from them? Their ratings are so-so on NotRot, so Im looking to get more feedback on payment issues on these comps.
Thanx!!

Re: PDocs always on time, Tampa Bay 6-8 months
Great, my heart just sunk to my gut. 6 to 8 months is waaaaaaay out of line. Thanx for the feedback Jolene. I hope they pay me in time, which I was quoted within 30 days, but if not, at least I have a heads up and can initiate communication before it gets too out of hand.
It seems these days the status of a companies payment reputation can change hourly. I hope these companies understand that it takes both of us to be successful in this business. Non payment and slow payment will not do either any good at all.

Re: Tampa Bay 71 days to be paid.
The 71 day timeframe is about right for Tampa Bay.
That's about how long it took for me to get paid..the signing was in the May-June '08 range.

OK, my heart is now in my feet Oh well, we'll see how they pay on my signing for them, but its not looking too well.
This will definately impact who and how I take signings from now on. Time to re-evaluate how I research a comp. This particular comp had some very good comments in Signing Central that seemed to outnumber the bad comments.

But, what are the dates of those comments? The nature of the beast changes over time, and the more recent should be weighted thusly. Past performance is not a true indicator any more.

Re: Tampa Bay Closings
Yes, I agree. As I stated, I will be doing things differently from now on. If all these comps are looking for is a warm body of someone that can and will wait for an eternity to get paid, then Im not the person for them. I will be looking at the ratings in a whole new light from now on. And equally important is rating the comps. This rating system really helps in making an informed decision.
