Pacific Dox

Has anyone worked with Pacific Dox?
They have requested my assistance to handle a signing for them tonight.
Do they pay?

Look in Signing Central. I am trying to collect for a signing done 9/30. No response from them at all--Deadbeats!

Always, always look for the reviews of a company in Signing Central or by using the orange search button first, BEFORE you ask about it on the board. Otherwise, it looks like you're lazy and not bothering to do the research. Since Pacific Dox has many negative reviews, you will most likely be working for FREE if you don't call them and give the job back. Make sure they KNOW why you're giving the job back....because you read the reviews on the notary boards which show they don't pay their Notaries.

yes, but there are TWO of the Pac Docs out there - - -one is in Southern California and the other one is in Northern California. I personally prefer the one in Southern California. They are quicker in payment and more pleasant to work with. The one in Northern California can take up to 2 months to pay (at least in my dealings with them.) Also, be aware that they both have a strict pay policy regarding no shows/signs and if the loan is rescinded they will only pay the printing fees.

There are several companies with similar names. Pacific Dox is in San Diego, CA.

Pacific Dox owned by Alissa Thomas and Stephanie Shellhase has owed me a signing fee since October. I have never received a cent of the fee. I turned them over to a collection agency, and they can't get the money out of them either. You're nuts if you work for these two crawlers.

I completed a closing for them on 7/14/08. They never paid me as of yet and they never answer telephone calls. I got so disgusted with them I filed a Complaint with the Attorney General of Michigan and they are going after them. They should not be in business.

I have only done one for her and was paid via paypal. It went very well and I was paid immediately via paypal. You may want to request that she pay you that way. I would only work for her if paid via paypal and she agreed to pay me that way.
Pacific Document Services also has had some payment issues in the past. He bounced a check to me not too long ago.
Check that list..it is invaluable!
Good luck and see if you can do via pay pal. That is what I did and it went great....aloha

It looks like they are turning into another "SOX". It burns me when they pay via PayPal when they owe so many other notaries. Accepting work from these companies that are notorious for non-payment just enables them to stay in business.

Anyone that knowingly works for a deadbeat (or IMO a lowpay) company simply empowers them to continue their thieving ways. Thereby taking work from legitimate SS's, and all Notary Signing Agents. If not one single one of US would work for these people, they would be gone!

I always did work for these guys because they did eventually pay, even if it was a bit slow. I think this time i might have finally got burned, no check from them in quite some time. I don't think I would work for them again.

They won't return phone calls, emails, faxes or send payment. I can't believe they are still able to hire people. They were a fabulous company during the boom, but no more.

Thank you for all the feedback.
Signing Centrals review is certainly helpful... but I truly needed a more current and accurate feeding on them.

Re: Pacific doxAlissa Thomas

I have been owed since Feb 18 09, been sending faxes steady and e-mails constantly, I don't know why they can pay by pay pal and not send us a check. found out today one of the #'s for Mortage consultants who was on the order sheet was a bogus # the guy was a gov't office and said he has been getting calls from people complaing about payments lately. H'mmm do I smell some kind of fraud here the bogus # is for desiree lowe of mortage consultants [949 689 4143] this guy has had this # for 5 years.Or are they playing games @ this #? They are probably connected to SOX or closing Quest of Nashville Tn. Bad apples.

Re: Pacific dox Alissa Thomas

I did a signing for Pacific Dox, at Allissa Thomas request on April 22, 2009. After 30 days, I called and left a message asking when payment would be coming, and asking her to call me.
Also refaxed her my Invoice with a note on requesting payment.

So seven weeks has now gone by, and no call from her, and no check.

Believe I will call the Escrow Company ot Title Company that handled the loan, and see what they would suggest.
