Small Claims Question
Ok I am not asking for assistance in this filing, but how do I go about finding the person I can file against for a company?
Thank you for your help.

Corporate search in the business filings in the state
where the company is located....google <<state>> corporations, or <<state>> LLC's for starters...
Also check your own state's small claims procedures on filing a claim against a foreign corporation - there may be restrictions and venue may be an issue.
Good Luck!!

Forgot to say...
"Also check your own state's small claims procedures on filing a claim against a foreign corporation "
If the company is an out of state company, that is....
Sorry 'bout that..

If you don't know what you're doing, you need to seek 'real' advice from someone in your jurisdiction. that may entail paying someone. Here, no one at the court will help you AT ALL. In most instances, if SBS, Inc., owes you money, you may not sue Sleeze Ball Simon personally.

I am not asking for help in the filing. I am only asking how some people here go about finding the owners of the companies. I will get legal help in the actual filings but want to try and get the owners names on my own. I have seen where people post owners name here and that is all I am wanting help on.

Search the business filings
Most SOS websites (or other state departments and divisions) have a search function for corporations, LLC and fictitious names. For example: http://www.idsos.state.id.us/corp/corindex.htm is for the ID corporate index.
