Stuart Posner, "Doc" Passed Away on Dec. 23, 2008
I have just received an email from Doc's dear wife, Elaine Posner, who has asked me to make a posting on NotaryRotary.
She doesn't have Doc's passwords to NR so she cannot tell you herself.
(I received the email from Doc's email account.)
As soon as I know more I will update the board.
Doc will certainly be missed. Love to you, Elaine. Many of us can take comfort in knowing that Doc is with his Lord.

Brenda, thanks for posting this where you did...
....had you posted it on leisure I would've missed it. I'm shocked and saddened by this news. I take it this is the Doc who is aka The Signing Doc. Mrs. Posner, your husband shared his knowledge with so many of us. I enjoyed his humor, and even though I never met him, I will miss him. Please accept my condolences.

Re: Brenda, thanks for posting this where you did...
I am saddened by this news also. In Oct, I asked for a pie recipe and Doc pm'd me with 40 recipes. I was shocked and of course delighted to get them. Doc, I will make each and every pie recipe you gave me in your memory. May God wrap his arms around your family and hold them tight during this difficult time.

Michelle, I knew that many of Doc's friends would miss it
on Leisure. I figured this would be the place to discuss losing one of our own so that the most would be sure to see it.
I do not have any updates, however, as I understand it Doc had very recently begun a treatment which was, I believe, for Crohn's Disease. (He had been diagnosed with it many years ago.)
I'm very shocked and so sad to hear of this.
I am in prayer for Elaine; and I am so, so gratified that she realized that Doc's friends on NR cared about him and would want to be made aware of his passing.

As long as we live, they too will live; For they are now a part of us: As we remember them!
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them. At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them. At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them. As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us. As we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them. When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them. When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them. When we have joy we crave to share we remember them. When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them. For as long as we live, they too will live, For they are now a part of us, as we remember them.

I am so saddened by this... prayers to his family and I will
