Ticor Title Co. Tustin, CA 92780

I am so impressed with this title company and surprised there's not more info in Signing Central. I performed a signing for them on Dec. 18th, and received payment on 12/27! How's that for excellent business? Their fee was excellent and they were available for questions during the signing.

Ticor is a very old, large, nationwide Title Company. Part of Fidelity National Financial. But I will say that the Tustin CA office is very nice to work with. Be happy they called you!

That's how it should be when dealing with a title company. Once the loan funds, they disburse everything and pay everyone on the HUD. Most of the time when I work directly for title/escrow companies, I get paid within a week or two at the outside. That's partly why so many get upset about ss companies taking so long to pay their notaries, imo.

There's probably not more in signing central because most of what is reported there is likely to be bad news. Most people don't post the names and locations of their favorite clients on here for all the world to see (including their competition). And the title offices often don't appreciate it either, because they tend to get bombarded with phone calls. Most of them anymore are small offices running with a lean staff, even if they're part of a larger organization like Ticor.

I've never understood how people fail to see this ... especially because posting like this provides the leads for lurking signing services who read this board ... everyone's real competition. I am not downing signing services across the board because there are decent ones and there are title companies that will always use them but they do take a piece of the pie.

Didn't anyone except me notice what happened when Linda posted about that company in Texas going under owing her $$$?

I wish I could view the comments in Signing Central...

This company is apparently "not coded for my state", so I can't view its profile in Signing Central. I HATE THAT!

"not coded for my state"

I've run into the same thing, but have also received calls from some of those companies. I found them later by doing the orange search, then backtracking through all the posts until someone linked their post. Only then was I able to see the profile in signing central.

Wouldn't it be easier to just make Signing Central an open source of info instead of going through the process of coding?

Yep, open source is better than "not coded for my state" n/m

Re: Yep, open source is better than "not coded for my state"

I've mentioned this several times to NotRot staff when I've contacted them about companies that called me but I cannot view their comments or ratings. They are always very helpful and "unlock" the individual company so I can view it in my state.

I would think it would be such a nuisance for NotRot staff to keep up with unlocking companies on an individual basis. Seems like a waste of resources to me, in more ways than one. A waste of time for NotRot staff to keep messing with this on an individual basis, and also a waste of resources for the members here who do not have access to the information when needed. Perhaps if many of us ask for "open source", it will be granted?
